Donner Region Chair – Tim Luckinbill
Lion Tim joined the Colfax Lions Club after retiring in 2011. He has served as club President four times. Lion Tim served as the 2014-2015 Golden Empire Zone Chair under DG Erv Gon and as the 2015-2016, he served as the Sierra Zone Chair under DG Mike Retzlaff.
Lion Tim was born in Chico, CA, where his parents were attending school to get their college education. In 1951 the family of five including three boys moved to Grass Valley as his dad begin teaching shop classes at Nevada Union High School. Lion Tim graduated Nevada Union High School and went on to Sierra Jr. College. He then joined the Air Force and studied to be an aircraft mechanic. Later, he cross-trained to the flight line security and left the Air Force in 1976 as an E5-Staff Sargent. After returning home, he began his 40-year career in the propane industry as a driver, serviceman, and then as manager of the Colfax Amerigas retail store.
Dos Rios Region Chair – Carlos Carvajal
Lion Carlos is a Charter member of the Yolo Sunset Lions Club (2003). He has been the club’s President, Secretary, Membership and Student Speaker contest chair at the Club level. Currently, he is a member of the Friends of Ross Relles Camp for Deaf Children. He has also served as the Gordon Zone Chair under DG Erv Gon.
Carlos has received the Gordon C. Daniels award and Knights of the Blind award, honoring Helen Keller and another from the Lions Club of Aguas Calientes, Mexico for supporting the first Ophthalmological Journey in 2014.
Together with Julia Carvajal, they have three sons and four grandchildren. In addition, Lion Carlos volunteers as a driver for Meals on Wheels in Davis and participates in raising funds to Defeat ALS honoring a deceased Yolo Sunset Lions member.
Sacramento Region Chair – Zenny Yagen
Lion Zenny joined the Maharlika Lions Club in 2010 after retiring from the State of California. She has held several positions in the club, including President and serves as their LEO club advisor and as the Sacramento Region LEO Coordinator. Lion Zenny also serves as the Board Secretary for the Northern California Lions Sight Association and on the Board of Directors for the Lions Education Foundation (Youth Outreach/Leo’s).
She was born in Manila, Philippines and moved to Sacramento at the age of six, with her mother and siblings to join her father who moved here two years earlier.
Lion Zenny takes great pride in her three sons/two daughters; and is a very proud grandmother of nine. Her four-year-old granddaughter, Alie, has been initiated to Lions as she attends the LEF meetings with her. She introduced two other granddaughters, Jazelle and Mackenzie, to KUBs and also brings them to some of her club projects.
Washoe Region Chair – Joe Flores
Lion Joe currently serves as the Roseville Host Lions Club President. Last year he served as the Eureka Zone Chair and was honored as the Washoe Region’s “Lion of the Year.”
A Roseville resident for over 21 years, Lion Joe enjoys giving back to the community through Lion’s projects, Roseville Area Chamber of Commerce activities and Citizenship merit badge counseling sessions for the Boys Scouts of America.
Originally from Southern CA, Lion Joe attended Long Beach State University and studied Business Marketing. He went on the obtain his Master of Business Administration (MBA) from National University and law degree from Lincoln Law School of Sacramento.
Lion Joe owns Flores & Associates Insurance Services, an insurance agency that specializes in helping others with Medicare, Health Insurance and Life Insurance options.
Lion Joe and Dina are enjoying raising their children Paul (16), John (11) and Ruby (8) and are busy with their many activities.
