Dos Rios Region Chair – Carlos Carvajal
Lion Carlos is a Charter member of the Yolo Sunset Lions Club (2003). He has been the club’s President, Secretary, Membership and Student Speaker contest chair at the Club level. Currently, he is a member of the Friends of Ross Relles Camp for Deaf Children. He has also served as the Gordon Zone Chair under DG Erv Gon.
Carlos has received the Gordon C. Daniels award and Knights of the Blind award, honoring Helen Keller and another from the Lions Club of Aguas Calientes, Mexico for supporting the first Ophthalmological Journey in 2014.
Together with Julia Carvajal, they have three sons and four grandchildren. In addition, Lion Carlos volunteers as a driver for Meals on Wheels in Davis and participates in raising funds to Defeat ALS honoring a deceased Yolo Sunset Lions member.
Gordon Zone Chair – Kitty Kramer
Lion Kitty has been a Lions member for approximately 10 years. She has served as a club Treasurer, Public Relations Chair, Student Speaker Chair, and Club Bulletin Editor. For District 4-C5, she was the Women’s Development Chair, Pride Bulletin Editor, and Lions Special Kids Day committee member. She is a Melvin Jones Fellow, Student Speaker Foundation Fellow, and co-Club Lion of the Year. In 2016, she was awarded with a DG Appreciation Award for the Pride Bulletin Editor and Club Bulletin of the Year.
Wolfskill Zone Chair – Frances An
Lion Frances has served as the club President of the Rio Linda Lions multiple times. She has been a member of this Lion’s club for the last four years. Frances was born in St. Louis, Missouri, but has lived in California since 1968. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics and attended the McGeorge School of Law where she received her Juris Doctorate in 2002, and was admitted to the bar in 2003. Frances still practices Family and Probate Law.
