First Vice District Governor (1stVDG) Sarah Enloe was born in Makato, Aklan, Philippines and currently resides in Elk Grove, CA with Lion Carle, her husband.  She has two sons: Andre Joseph, married to Kathleen and granddaughter, Emma Lilian, whom she baby sits full-time; and Anthony Justin, engaged to Kerry Leung.  Her father, Lion Dennis Tonel, has been active in Lions since 1979.  2ndVDG Sarah and Lion Carle are members of the Sacramento Maharlika Lions Club.  In 2014, she retired from the University of California San Francisco as an Accounting Specialist.

Since joining the Maharlika Lions Club in 2008, she has served as Club Recording and Corresponding Secretary; Club Treasurer; and on the Club Board of Directors, including 3rd, 2nd, 1st Vice President and President.  She has received the 100% Club President and Secretary Awards.  She was the co-recipient of the Club Lion of the Year; District 4-C5 Tommie and Anna Mae Galligan Youth Award; District 4-C5 Region Lion of the Year; Lions Education Foundation (LEF) Gordon Daniels Founder Award; and Student Speaker Foundation Dwight E. Stanford Fellow; and is also a Progressive Melvin Jones Fellow.

At the District Level; 1st VDG Sara has held positions of 2ndVDG,  Cabinet Secretary; Cabinet Treasurer; Lions Pride Bulletin co-editor; and several District committee chair positions.  She has also served as 1st Vice President of the Northern California Lions Sight Association (NCLSA); Chairperson/Liaison of the Vision Screening Unit; and Four-Year Director for NCLSA.  She also served as Treasurer of LEF.  She is currently a member of NCLSA and LEF.

In addition to her Lions activities, 2ndVDG Sarah is active and deeply involved in the activities of the community and has held various positions while serving in different community leadership positions, to include President of several different organizations. She and Lion Carle are volunteer Community News co-editors and writers for the Philippine Fiesta News.
